With the dawn of a new year upon us again (where the hell did 2015 go?), I feel compelled to take a minute to re-evaluate life and reminisce about the year in passing. Like the fluff on the horses, I too feel a bit large around the middle. As if all the garbage I have been eating since Thanksgiving has really helped that situation. Anyways….
I decided that there will be no “New Year’s Resolutions” for me in 2016. Disappointment, regret, and self- loathing are not welcome to tag along with me across the threshold of the new year, so why invite them? Instead, I have decided to just hang on for the ride, and appreciate all the good (and the bad) things that happened in the last three hundred and sixty some-odd days. I don’t know about you, but I can’t change any of it now, so might as well look back with fondness and look forward to new doors opening in the future. As for the future, well, I guess we’ll just hang and rattle and see where time takes us.
2015 was quite a ride- thank you all for tuning into my blog posts at the most random times, and for all of your encouragement along the way. I look forward to sharing more photos, more stories, and more narrow-minded rumblings from my neck of the woods. May God bless you and yours in the coming new year!
