Please fall in love with a horse (or horses). They will teach you lessons that your dad and I can't; responsibility, love, compassion, common sense... and don't worry, I will back you when your dad whines about "another horse?". Listen to all kinds of music and read as much as you can. Music helps you connect with people, relieves stress, and set your heart on fire. Reading helps you learn, is entertaining, and keeps your imagination alive. Someday you will appreciate a quiet evening spent reading a good book with some good background music. I promise.

Make sure he treats you like a lady- opens doors for you and buys you dinner once in a while. Not because he thinks you can't do it yourself, but because he knows you can. I hope you find one that shares your interests, and loves horses... because it makes it so much easier when you spend all your free time mucking stalls and your money on new tack. You might as well know that
